STUDIO FOUNDER: Corena Hammer-(500 RYT)is a Nationally Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level and runs a Registered Yoga Teacher training school at her studio in Bountiful. She has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years and an ACE certified instructor since 1998. She has been certified in yoga and has been taught in the classical teacher to student method as well as some of the country's leading authorities in yoga including D'Ana Baptiste, Baron Baptiste and Ana Forrest. She has also been certified in Pilates by the Physical Mind Institute of New York, in Body Pump by the Step Company and a former tri-athlete.
Corena has been certified in Pilate Reformer Training by Kim Lee, owner of Pilates Zen and trainer to clients such as Madonna, Sting and the cast of Oceans 13. Mr. Lee's extensive knowledge and keen sense of ideal alignment is taught in his new "people proven" exercise variations, making his interpretation of Pilates accurate, effective, and challenging. Corena has continued with his concept of evolving the movement with variations that make Reformer Training fun and challenging. She has also been certified in Mat Pilates by Physical Mind Institute of New York.
Corena is a continuing education specialist for American Council on Exercise and is one of only a few to do so in yoga. She had held workshops and Master classes for both teachers and students at Treehouse, Lifestyle 2000 and Xcel facilities.
She has yoga teacher training and certifications programs in Utah in which she trains and certifies new and existing yoga teachers along the Wasatch Front. Her program includes an intense focus on alignment, education, helping teachers to create a safe program and how to bring individual essence into a class.
In April of 2003 Corena was chosen as the national spokesperson and video spokesperson for Savasa, a new division of the international biking company, Bell Sports. In 2004 she became the model for all of Savasa's national retail packaging. She has developed and performed in videos for the company and has filmed videos in conjunction with a Mindy Mylrea fitness video. In 2004, Corena completed a "Yoga for Sports Performance" DVD in which she was the creator of the content as well as the instructor.
Corena opened a Yoga and Pilates studio in August of 2003 located in Bountiful, Utah. She is the yoga expert for FitAdvisor.com, a web fitness company ranked number 1 by the Wall Street Journal.
Corena also races in Olympic distance triathlons, placing 3rd overall female and 1st in her age division in the Riverdale Pioneer Days Triathlon in 2002.
Addie-(200 RYT) discovered yoga in 1996, after being diagnosed with AS arthritis, and certified in 1998 through YogaFit. Drawn to the healing art of yoga, she continued studying yoga from both national and local yoga instructors. (Including Baron Baptiste, Ana Forrest, Beth Shaw, Dana Baptiste, Peter Francyk, Corena Hammer, Jo Canfield, Erin Geesman, Ken Jamititus, and Scott Moore.) During the summer of 2005, she completed her 200-hour RYT training at Yoga Jo's. Addie's Bachelor's degree in Sociology (from BYU) intiated her desire to nurture the well beings of others. Yoga has become a powerful medium through which she continues to care for the human spirit.
Ali-(200 RYT) has been involved in teaching in the fitness industry for 8 years. She has been teaching yoga for 6 years and Pilates for 4 years. She recently re-certified for Pilates and completed her 200-hour RYT certification through Infusion. Additional certifications include Johnny G., Les Mills, Body Pump, Body Combat, NASM Personal Trainer Certified and General Group Fitness Certified through AFAA. Ali teaches French and Health at West High and hopes to start a yoga program there. She loves teaching, especially yoga, because she sees first hand the benefits it can offer to each individual. We love having her here and she loves the community we've created at the studio!
Chantelle-- has been active in various aspects of the fitness industry for over 10 years. She has several yoga certifications from local studios including one from Infusion. Chantelle started teaching yoga in 2002. She has certified as a personal trainer through AFAA and she hold Pilates certifications with Infusion and Peak Pilates.
Chantelle found her love of yoga shortly after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia and arthritis. A doctor recommended yoga to her because it linked breath with movement. She also needed and activity that was gentle on her joints, yet kept her muscles strong and limber. She has found the perfect combination in yoga and Pilates. She is also drawn to the holistic benefits they have to offer.
She is continually adding to her personal and professional skills and is working towards becoming a RYT through Infusion's National Program next.
Christine-(200 RYT) has been actively involved in the fitness industry since 1994 as an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified instructor, where she received her primary certification in aerobics, step, cycling and kick boxing. She has also been certified in yoga by Yogafit since 1997 and with Infusion since 2003. She certified in Pilates in 2006 through Corena Hammer. This past summer, she had the opportunity to attend a 10-hour, 3-day weekend training with one of the yoga world's leading teacher, John Friend. She has most recently completed her 200-hour RYT certification which she did under the curriculum of Yoga Alliance and under the guidance of Corena Hammer. In Christine's leisure time she enjoys golfing, scrap booking, and attending yoga class for renewal (in preparation for driving her beautiful and energetic six children around the valley to their many activities.) She has also been very happily married for 19 years to an awesome man that she would love to travel the world with someday.
Claudette-(200 RYT) is a 200 hour level Registered Yoga teacher. She completed her national certification from Yoga Alliance through Corena Hammer. She also has completed her Pilates certification through the Infusion Yoga and Pilates Studio and S.A.F.A.X. Claudette is also certified as a personal trainer through S.A.F.A.X. She loves helping client improve and change their lives by practicing yoga and Pilates. Claudette was born and raised in Ogden, Utah and has been married for almost 25 years. She has four children ranging in age from 21 years down to age 10. She enjoys spending time with her family camping and riding their horses.
Elicia-- is a dynamic and engaging certified Yoga instructor, fitness professional, trainer, speaker, mentor and life management coach. The multi-dimensional Elicia is known for her playful and exuberant style, her ability to lead and inspire others and her nurturing and intuitive nature. Elicia is committed to creating a personalized plan to guarantee the success of each client. Elicia offers her clients a variety of services including: personalized fitness and Yoga training, nutrition and weight management, workshops, hosting fitness retreats, life management consulting and coaching.
In addition to her schooling and certifications in Yoga, personal training and spinal rehabilitation, she is continuing her education in additional movement modalities. Elicia leads an active life enjoying mountain biking, hiking, running, boating, motorcycles, traveling and reading. She has a great passion for music and the arts and loves to spend quality time with her daughter and friends. Believe. Believe in Yourself, Believe in the one who Believes in You !
Jami-(200 RYT) brings her experience as a RYT certified yoga instructor (through Infusion) and over 1000 accredited hours in massage and body therapies to assist others in a holistic compassionate approach toward self awareness, stress reduction, and the transformative power of asana practice through the sacred truth all is one. She focuses on vinyasa as the natural rhythm of the universe while honoring the body's innate wisdom to create desired changes in his and her life. She celebrates yoga in all activities from her time communing with nature to her continued self practice and studies in anatomy, meditation and pranayama. Om shanti.
Rachel--Rachel was introduced to yoga in 2004 by a vocal instructor who told her it would help with her breathing technique. After continuing to practice and learn the benefits of this practice, she decided to register for the RYT training offered at Infusion. Yoga has brought peace, stability and a steadiness to her life and she enjoys helping others to see these same benefits in theirs.
Ron-- has been teaching yoga for 5 years and is a certified 200 Registered Yoga Teacher and owner of Infusion Yoga and Pilates Studio with his wife Corena. Ron currently teaches at Infusion Yoga & Pilates Studio and loves to teach the peace and centeredness yoga can bring into everyday life. Ron is former football player, wrestler and all around sports enthusiast. He enjoys the opportunity to bring yoga to everyone from athletes to seniors. He remains active as a trainer at the Studio as well and is living proof that yoga can be for the flexibility challenged, too!
Shannon-(LMT) brings a variety of experiences as an Interior Designer/Feng Shui Practitioner, Professional Fitness Mentor, Pilates Instructor, Life Awareness Coach, together with Massage Therapy to assist and support others in enhancing their own natural healing and transformation process. She focuses on an eclectic blend of massage, movement, and awareness techniques that assist in releasing mind/body stress, realigning postural muscles, and restoring mind/body balance. Shannon's passion and excitement for being a "life-time" student has supported her in teaching and sharing with others through a variety of classes and workshops.
