What is Energy Medicine?
Energy medicine combines working with your energy pathways that circulate in your body much like your circulatory system circulates blood to feed the vital organs. Energy medicine also works with your subtle energy body and main energy centers. Often acupressure is used in Energy Medicine. Acupressure is when pressure is applied to a single point along an energy pathway to help balance energy within that pathway. Pressure points used in acupressure have demonstrated helpfulness for a variety of health and emotional problems. According to the World Health Organization, when these pressure points are stimulated they release endorphins, and aid in releasing chronic tension, stress and eliminating unwanted behavior.

Receiving Energy Medicine—The receiver is often lying down, and it is usually combined with receiving a Reiki treatment. When applying acupressure the points are often either held or massaged. Acupressure points are located on your hands, feet, chest, stomach, back, legs, head, and face. Often when energy is disrupted these points can be sore to the touch. The energy medicine practitioner will tell you of any points that they may need to be held, and the receiver is free to express discomfort or communicate the desire to not be touched at any time during the session. On occasion movement and mild stretching may be used as a part of Energy Medicine to help relieve necessary blocks.

Sessions are betweem 45 and 75 minutes long, and can be an Energy Healing session where you will receive a Reiki Treatment, and other healing energy work known as Energy Medicine or a Personal Life Coaching session per clients request.
