YOGA & PILATES
Take your Yoga & pilates to new heights by learning the skills necessary to become a successful teacher. Infusion Yoga & Pilates now offers the national level 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training program. The yoga training will take 1 year @ 1 weekend per month to complete. The cost is $199 per month. Upon completion of the entire program you will be eligible to apply for the right to market your skills as a Registered Yoga Teacher (R.Y.T). For your information we have included this description from www.yogaalliance.org explaining what becoming a R.Y.T. would mean for you.
The Registry will issue Registry Marks for enrolled teachers to use in their resumes, advertising and business endeavors, and authorizing them to use the initials "R.Y.T." (Registered Yoga Teacher) after their name. The Registry will be advertised and promoted to (a) the general public, (b) to organizations that employ Yoga Teachers (i.e. YMCA's, athletic clubs, Park & Recreation Departments, etc.), and (c) to organizations that are beginning to review Yoga Teachers' credentials (hospitals, health insurance companies, governmental organizations, etc.). Yoga Alliance is establishing long-term mutually beneficial relationships with these organizations to facilitate the acceptance and support of Yoga Teachers as professionals in the modern world.
Printed lists of Registered Yoga Teachers will be widely distributed as well as made available on the Web and linked to relevant sites. Yoga Alliance will inform the public of the Yoga Teachers Registry, Registry Marks and educational standards. Organizations and individuals supporting our work will be asked to help us by recommending that students, clients or patients seek teachers holding Registry Marks. A brochure will be available for the public and the employing agencies explaining the value of selecting a Registered Yoga Teacher, as well a promoting yoga in general.

REAL PEOPLE, REAL STORIES
When I started my yoga training program at Infusion, my intention was to learn more so that I could grow as a yoga teacher. I had no idea that I would transform on a personal level. I loved and learned so much through the training. On the level of meeting my initial intention, I did learn more about the anatomy of the body and it's function in the alignment of yoga postures so that I can teach a safer class. I also learned more about the philosophy of yoga, including chanting, sanskrit, postures, the chakra energy system, and meditation; which I feel added depth to my teaching and what I'm trying to help my students allow to surface for themselves.
While I was very pleased with all that I learned to enhance my teaching practice, the most profound change for me was the insight I gained into myself. On a personal level I was helped to understand my own past samskaras, or patterns. I became my own student in this process as I allowed myself to go deeper - to release, heal, and function on multiple levels instead of just the physical/surface level that I was so used to functioning on - especially in my yoga practice. Through my learning in the training, I was allowed to go places in my own practice that I never could before. This allows me to go places in my teaching I didn't realize I could go either. I never expected to gain all that I did out of the training. It was an amazing life experience that I didn't even realize I needed until after I started. The Infusion RYT training led me through a process I needed to start my own healing on many levels. I feel as if I grew as a teacher and as a person. Looking back, the training was something I feel as if I was led to. It was an incredible experience. I looked forward to it every month and plan on attending the retreat again this year.

Teacher training with Corena has been invaluable. I've learned so much about how my body experiences yoga
which in turn helps me as a teacher. I look forward to the weekends in the month because
I know I'll be learning valuable skills that I can incorporate into my own practice as well as
enhance the yoga experience I'm offering to my clients. But more importantly, I feel like
the RYT is and has been beneficial in helping me build strength, confidence, and awareness
into my mental and spiritual aspects of my yoga practice by helping me to go deeper, re-trace
old patterns and establish new ones that are more beneficial.

After being trained to teach yoga in a weekend certification, I realized I had much to learn about yoga. After 7 years of attending classes, workshops and researching yoga I still yearned for more training opportunities. Therefore, I decided to completed a Summer RYT Training course at Yoga Jo's. What a great learning opportunity it was for me!! I was able to experience so many new things. Since completing my 200-RYT Training, I have attended a few of Infusion's RYT Training sessions. Out of the resources and experiences I have had with yoga, Infusion's RYT Training is one of my favorites!! Here's why: Corena is respectful of my time, descriptions of content/poses are detailed and comprehensive, year program allows for proper processing of an enormous amount of content, and the openness of the space/trainees/trainers stimulates opportunities for personal and professional growth.
